Interesting Honduran milksnakes from Atlantida, Honduras

CarlJFranklin Dec 30, 2005 04:32 PM

Hi

I thought some of you might be interested in seeing some interesting milksnakes from Atlantida, Honduras. These specimens were obtained by Jorge Ferrari in 2002 and are now part of the collection here at the University of Texas at Arlington Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center.

The faded colors is the result of the specimens remaining in a formalin solution for slightly longer than needed.
Nevertheless, they are welcome additions to our collection!
The locality where these specimens were collected consistently produces striped and blotched milksnakes.
However, it is also within the confines of a military base and access is restricted.
