Yet another question

Thanks to all who have helped me the past week. I now have a humidity question. I am currently keeping Audrey (05' female BCI) in a 10 gallon tank with an under the tank stick on heat pad and a 100 watt ceramic infared heat emitter. The humidity is easily kept around 60-70% with the heat emitter turned off. The problem is my tank is kept indoors and my roomates aren't to keen on keeping our room temp set at 80, lol. Emitter turned on, my humidity reaches only about 40% in the tank. The warm end is in the 90's, hot spot at 95. The cooler end with the heat pad is in the high 60's, low 70's. My question is how do i reach my desired humidity of 70% while keeping the heat emiter on. I have looked into those "plug-in" humidifyers that require me to completely cover the tank lid. Can't do that with my heat emitter positioned directly above the lid. Any suggestions on how to keep my humidty and temps up together?

Cover half of the lid with somthing to trap the air in the cage. Also use a under the tank heat pad, it will save money on your power bill and also keep it from drying out. Lights and ceramic heating will dry your cage out quick. Good luck
