Hi all! I've been lurking around this forum for awhile now and first wanted to say, that this is one of the nicest forums on kingsnake. I currently have a Paraguayan b&w that I got about a month or so ago. He/she is around 25" long and is doing great and growing like a weed on a diet of mice, supplemented lean ground turkey, crickets, bananas, mangos, nectarines and strawberries. The only other tegu I've owned was a Colombian b&w that I had for around two years back in the mid-nineties. She was a totally awesome lap lizard and was around 3' long when she died suddenly of a bacterial infection from tainted beef. Anyway, my question is will my Paraguyan go into hibernation even though I live in S. Florida and he/she comes from a more northerly/warmer climate than the Argies? Also, for those of you that have Argentine's, if you keep the temps up, will they still hibernate? Thanks in advance!
