timor food

thebig_j Dec 30, 2005 10:19 PM

I have been feeding my male timor 12 dusted crictets every other day. I was wondering if there is a food that is better for them or if crictets are best. I have herd of some people feeding them ground turkey and was wondering how this is done. i assume raw but is it hard to get them to eat it do you need to inducing hunting or what? Was also wodering if they burrow much and if anyoe knows where to get a good care sheet. or cares to make one. oh yeah one more thing 24/7 lighting? this souds a bit strange as it happens no where on earth i was thinking 12/12 most of the time and 14/10 or so in the wetter summers like in indonesia would this be correct?

I feed my timors 1 fuzzy mouse every other day.
As far as lighting goes it makes no differance to them if the lights are on or off as long as they have enough heat they are happy if they want it dark they will go into a burrow or hide. You must remeber as smart as these reptiles seem at time. causality is still beyond there grasp so the lights being on or off if nothing they worry about. (but if you were useing that line of thought how many places on earth use flood lights to light up a natural habitat??)(J/K)
