Ive been told two seperate ideas when it comes to handling times. My local reptile store says handle during the day since they are tired more likely to be calm? What does every think thanks. And i agree posting a picture here is next to impossiable.

Is you're local petsore a 'petco' or 'petland?' if so, disregard whatever they tell you and start from scratch ... well, whatever they are, disregard them and start from scratch. Ball pythons are nocturnal, therefore they are more active, comfortable, etc at night - how would you like to be woken up at 2 am, would you be more 'calm?' Anyhow - stick with nightime, you're snake will appreciate it
