Can diet influince skin color?

Sighthunter Dec 31, 2005 11:54 AM

As breeders we keep secrets. I have never been good at keeping secrets. I have shared my outside burrows (by the way snakes love to breed outside especially the hard to breed ones) but can you turn a red chin into a Redhead? Europe and German breeders in particular use vitamins. There are products that target skin color “Nekton” is one of them. Carotene is the actual vitamin that influences skin color. I have been monkeying with carotene over the years. Just remember it is in high concentrations in the wild forage that snakes get. Hatchling birds, wild bird eggs, insects and wild mice eat insects, bats etc…
