I recieved a beardie with a nipped tail for Christmas last year. He was a hatchling. Zilla has grown normally. I have no way of knowing how much was nipped off, but he sure does seem to look shorter! The nip shouldn't effect his growth. If he was only going to be a 15 inch dragon, and 5 inches were nipped, then he'd be 10 inches. There's no way of telling. There's a huge variety in size of dragons.

Not sure I answered your question, but your dragon should be normal in every other way.

depending on how much of the tail was nipped, the overall length of your dragon will be shorter on average, but a nipped tail will not prevent growth. The part of the tail that was lost, won't grow back, but the rest of the dragon will grow as normal. Even if the entire tail was removed, your dragon will still grow, though the nose to vent length may not be much more than 10-14", as about half the dragon's total length is tail normally.
