CAn anyone tell if this is only within city limits, or everywhere? That sucks. I live in SC and I don't have any big snakes now but I'd like to be able to at some point.

So is there any way at all we can fight this Because most of my snakes are on there and I dont think I could afford 50 bucks a piece for permits every year for all of them. So if there is a way to fight i would like to know thanks alot

did you previously have to have permits for your snakes? if so the permits you already have should grandfather the new law

only cities species are required for permits in south carolina as of now. But if they pass this bill Everyone of my reptiles are on there except about 15

In Jersey, one permit can cover multiple animals (at least that's how it was in the past). If S.C. is doing something different, I'd suggest finding out when the hearings and public meetings are, and going to them. If this ban is being introduced under the guise of public safety, make them show you they aren't just trying to pad their pockets w/ your money! Tip: outline everything you want to say on paper, stick to your talking points, be clear, concise, calm, and educated. These methods helped in Jersey when faced w/ uninformed body art legislation.
