I completely understand the myth of "Chameleons change colour to blend into the environment". It's easy to see how well they can hide, mold their bodies, and when they bask they change to a darker colour, maybe a brown tree branch colour???

FYI.... I think you spell it "color", not "colour".

FYI, Adam, I'm Canadian. Only Americans spell 'colour' incorrectly, without the "u". Any English Europeans here can back me up.

The Brits spell it with the "u" as they often do in behaviour, favour and a few others. They were the ones who colonized the land (not the first one's here, but that is for another forum!) so they have first dibs on spelling! lol! (I personally always spell "theatre" rather than the Anglicized "theater". I am in New England so we keep in all the extraneous letters, too. Who would ever guess that Gloucester and Worcester are pronounced as they are (my guess is Will knows . Funny, I had lunch with a friend today and we were having a conversation about the UK/Canada/European connection.

OK, done with the English lesson - haha! (hope there are no typos in here!)

it's neat how you can barely make out the foot, eye and tail. If you did not know he was there I doubt you'd see him!

That's Bill Love - a great guy. His wife Cathy literally wrote the book on cornsnakes. Bill usually vends at the reptile shows along the east cost. Great guy. One of these days I'm going to save up to go with him to Madagascar...

Thanks Eric, I recognize his name (didn't go much farther into his site). Neat photos, and glad he added the text, otherwise it would just be the disappearing chameleon!
