I know you have put a lot of work into getting them to hatch.

Congrats Bob!
Absolutely gorgeous!looks really blue in the pics.
So how many days did it take, and what size is that little bugger?
keep up the good work.... looking forward to lots more baby pics from you in the future.
Cheers,
Ben
Thanks everyone,
I haven't had a chance to get the measurements on this little guy yet; I don't want to stress the guy out at the moment. I did measure its clutchmate which unfortunately died full term inside the egg, and it measured to be 75mm SVL(182TL) and 5g.
What's interesting to me, is that the color of this hatchling is nothing like that of the parents, which are a brilliant emerald green. This little guy is very similar in coloration to the lone male prasinus that I have, which has slowly lost the yellow pigmentation over the years-giving it a more bluer appearance.
Here's a photo of the dead full-term hatchling:

Here are a couple more shots of the live hatchling I took today:

Here is an photo of the parents:

And lastly, here's an image of that adult male I mentioned above- for color-comparison:

Bob,
Congradulations on such a beautiful little hatchling and may you have much more success in the New Year. I needn't wish you luck in the New Year, it looks like you already have it!
Cheers,

Such a cute little lizard.
congrat Bob!
Hope you a lot of those for the new year.

If thats a male you know my next question!
that is a nice step to make, congratulations. but you know it is not the BIG step that you need to make (a full healthy clutch hatch). i hope that in the next few years, these small steps by committed keepers like yourself will open up the captive possibilities of these elusive monitors : )
i am very excited for our groups to see you make this progress with your own group, we will get this conundrum solved! congrats again on the baby, i wish you the best for continued progress!

Congratulations Bob! You really deserve this. Lots of keepers would have quit long ago, but you kept your focus and have been rewarded, a great new years gift indeed. Sorry for the late congrats, but I just got back from vacation last night so missed the fabulous news. Keep up the good work and best of luck in this coming year with all of your projects.
Pam
