mrellis1181 Jan 02, 2006 09:01 AM

Hi all, Happy new year...

I bought a new corn recently but not sure what kind. I'm more into my Boas and Pythons to be honest. Could someone also please estimate an age?

Here he is......

-----
1.1 Royal pythons (Ball Pythons)
0.1 Colombian Boa Constrictor
1.0 Guyana Boa Constrictor
0.0.1 Corn
1.0 Bearded Dragon

It looks like a normal phase to me. The black around the saddles dont look dark enough to be an okeetee. I think it is going to lighten up when it gets older. I had two that kinda looked like normeals as babies and turned out to be hypo. Thats just my opinion. Have fun

forgive the horrible typing in the last post. I really need to proof read. I hope you get my point! (looks to be a normal phase to me)

Actually it is most likely months old.... How many inches long is it? I would say it is a late 05 hatchling probably between June and September. Keep in mind this is all just an estimation and there is no way to get the exact month/date. All snakes grow at different rates and it depends on when they eat and how well they eat. I also agree that it is a very pretty normal phase aka wild type.

Ok, thanks. Just for the record, what do i feed such a small snake? I bought this snake from someone who had received it as an unwanted present.... (me to the rescue)... and they had not yet fed it.

I've never had such a small snake, like i said before i keep boas and pythons so i'm not very clever with corns.

thanks again!

I know it is hard to believe that something that small could, but they eat pinkies (baby mice). I am currently having problems with one hatchling that wont eat well, but the majority of corns are easy eater. Good luck

Very nice looking normal corn you have. Or maybe I should say, nice natural corn. There's nothing normal about them.
