I spent the last 45 minutes or so trying to find wood frogs since work is really slow for me today. The only thing I found was a place called Carolina Math and Scientific, 1-800-334-5551 (http://www.carolina.com/). They only sell to schools, universities or research companies. I didn't find any info on what specific species of frog they sold. I think I occasionally have seen them at the national pet chain stores.
I was walking through the woods 2 years ago this spring and found clutch? of frog eggs. They were in a small mud puddle that would have dried up before the frogs matured so I raised them in a bucket. They turned out to be wood frogs.
I've had adult wood frogs before. They are an interesting frog. They grunt when you pick them up. Mine was terribly afraid of water. He would freak if I put him in an inch of water. They are amazing jumpers. Mine could jump 3 feet and 2 feet high.
