What is the average size of a Nicaraguan Boa? Just curious

from my experience, I would say average size of an adult is probably 4 1/2' long.

Then again, that is considering a fairly new to semi-established collection (1-5 years).
Would be great to ask some of the older, more established breeders that have had their stock for 10-20+ years...

Unfortunately, these seemingly don't exist, or may not be able to, considering most, if not, all Nicaraguans have been imported over the very recent years.

Here's my count...
I have 4 adult Nicaraguan Females
2 of the are 4 years old and 4 feet long
1 of them is 4 years old and 4 1/2 feet long
one is a freak... a rescue, unsure of age, 9 feet long

*** This 9 footer is the first i've seen or even heard of for a Nic... frankly, I thought it was not possible. There IS a chance she is a cross of some kind, although it does not appear to be so.

There are a few members here with nice Nic collections spanning 1-5 years in age. Hopefully they can chime in as well.

Take care, Joe

I have currently have 17 Nics.....most of them are 05's....but 3 of them are 04's and they are about 2 1/2 feet.....they are growing at a very slow rate compared to my colombians.

Thanks for the kind comments....I'm not selling or trading anymore nics anytime soon...I obtained some really amazing ones that I cannot even describe or photograph accurately. I'm almost 100percent positive my one male is a hypo.

I want to build up a large nic collection and focus primarily on them as my specialty. I'd really like to get another large group of them this year but we'll see how money goes....as I'm dead broke. I may sell some stuff to invest in more nics but I really don't want to if I don't have to.....unfortunately, my wife has taken inventory and knows exactly how many snakes I currently have....there's no more slippin any by her.lol...she thinks I'm obsessed with 100 snakes....can't imagine what wives of others think w/collections in the hundreds or thousands.

oh yeah..i also updated my website with some newer pics of my nic collection..its not all of them since some were in shed but you get an overall idea of how amazing these snakes are....i'm very fortunate to be working with them.
