Our letter (Grady and I) was post on this website.
Check out the comments from the founder of the site and then my post.

You guys know I'm not one to mud sling...but...he went over the line, and so did I in response.

I imagine he'll delete my post soon, I'll post it here if he does.

Your response was actually well thought out and eloquent. It appears that Terry fails to understand that some form of regulation or ban in Ohio will happen, probably sooner than later. If we, as keepers, do not become involved, and offer intelligent and reasonable input into these laws, we will be at the mercy of the uninformed, ignorant, and fearful. By working with the legislators, educating them, and dispelling myths and unreasonable fears, we are in a much better position to have an acceptable, if not favorable, outcome.

Don't be discouraged. You and Grady are doing an outstanding job. If I can help, contact me.

YOU GUYS KNOW OF OUR Martin Memorial fund? MARTIN was one of our members who was KILLED by his reticulated python!

This guy is a fundamentalist who does not let facts get in the way of his agenda.

forgot to mention my point on that last message is he actually claims there has NEVER (yes NEVER) been a death from a constrictor.

Use your own judgement on this, I need to say no more.

One of the hallmarks of radicalism is the adherence to their beliefs, despite the logical presentation of facts, in an unreasonable manner. This has been proven time and again through out history, particulary among religious sects. The Inquisition in Europe, the Salem witch trials in the US, and present day Islamic radicals are prime examples. In other words, I feel that you are wasting your time expressing any point that differs from their thoughts. The response will be a verbal, if not physical, assault. The end result this type of radicalism is usually not productive to the cause, and usually results in self destruction.

In the end, people that display such behavior will not be taken seriously by anyone, and tend to become the example of the general behavior of reptile keepers, since they are so high profile.

When other individuals read his posts (uneducated individuals that is), they are reading information from someone who supposedly has "many years" of experience and so forth. It is good for people to share their views on the opposition so that others can see both sides of the coin instead of just one. Furthermore, the more numbers that are there, the more the point gets made. It might not get made to that one individuals, but perhaps some of that individuals followers?

I'm not one to get between peoples business, but that guy is stupid. I'm not even a member of the gchs (but i need to get on that already!) and I fully support the stance taken on new legislation. Some people should not have children, enough said.
