Why would you need a permitt to take a picture....?
-----
0.1 Snow Corn "Hope"
1.0 Ball Python "Wilson" (Castaway)
1. Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Chunk" (Goonies)
.1 Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Peaches"
0.0.1 Mexican Black Kingsnake "Onyx"
because I heard I need one to photograph protected /rare species such as timber rattler, hognose, black rat and black racer!
I've lived and herped in N.Y. for 40 yrs and never heard of a permit. Only timbers are protected but you can photo all you want.
No, so long as you aren't handling timbers, massasaugas or queen snakes, your fine.
