I was reading some old posts about the ball python market and some peoples ideas that well know breeders are able to control the market. Just remember one thing, not everybody is willing to pay $1000 for a snake. Most that do only do so in hopes of breeding them and making money.

So what do you think is going to happen when all the yahoos who think there going to quit there jobs and make money breeding pythons have bought there fill. The price drops to $200 faster than you can scream SELL, SELL (like in Trading Places).

I mean really, look in the back of the current reptiles magazine or check the web for breeders. I would not be suprised if there were 2x the number of Ball breeders that any other species.

Ball pythons are one of the best snakes available but sadly have been reduced to the level of an investment. With that "normal" Balls (which IMHO look better that the majority of morhs) are thought of as wasted space.
