Normal females, how low can they go?

zefdin Jan 05, 2006 03:24 PM

Has anyone else noticed the price drop on normal females?

I regularly see them +1k grams for $200 now, when a year ago they were $500 to $800.

I believe people are SLOWlY replacing their normal female stock with het./morphs as they become cheaper and more prevelant as a way to (hopefully)increase profits.

The normal female is fading away.

I wish someone would "fade" some over my way for $200 or less. I really need normal females, but cannot find any over 1000 grms unless they are like $400 and above...

Really depends on the time of year - it's all realtive to how far away breeding season is and if that snake can be brought to weight by then - the closer to breeding season - the price will increase on anything that can breed - by the time breeding season gets here - the prices start to drop again - because it's too late (and too cold to ship to most of the country).

I really doubt anyone was buying 1,000g snakes for $500 - if they did they were a little nuts, that is way overpriced.
