Snake record cards...

Gravity_Freak Jan 05, 2006 08:37 PM

I saw a really nice printable feeding record somewhere, but I can't seem to find the web site that it was on. Does anyone know the one I'm talking about? I was using 3x5 cards and small notebooks, but as my collectiongrows, I want to keep better records with more detail, especially with my first breeding season on the horizon.

Thanks for the info. That was the one that I was looking for. Now I can organize all of my reptiles into one binder so Ican track them easier. Thanks again.

I use custom spreadsheets from excel which I print and tape to the wall. The snakes go down the left column and the dates are the rows across the top (1 month per page). You can easily fit 40 snakes on one legal sized page (with no margins) and I use letters/symbols for eating, shedding, cleaning, weighing - anything really even notes if there are spaces.

I find this method easiest, that way there are no cards or pages to shuffle though and no mix ups - you just go down the column for the current day and basically check of anything worth noting. You can fit a years worth of data in a poster sized area and you can easily transfer it to a card if you needed to.
