has anyone got a queen snake to succesfully eat in captivity. If so what has it eaten and did you need to incorporate any tricks?

If you have the time, they will feed readily on crayfish, when I was much younger I kept a few. I would keep a 10 gallon with a crayfish on had to feed as they molted. I always removed the large pincher claws, but they deal with them in the wild. Neat animals....almost have a feminine quality to them...real delicate in all their habits. I don't know where the common name came from but it is quite appropriate.

ive offered a few crayfish but I don't think that she was quite acclimated yet. i have a crayfish and 2 wild minnows in with her know.
Crayfish are not a problem for me to get, I am a grad. student right now and a few people in our lab work with crayfish. I could just ruin there projects and steal their crayfish (joke)
Thanks for the info.
I put the crayfish in a deep plastic container of water as her water dish is too shallow and the last crayfish get out and dryed up. I put the crayfish in on Thurs. and she ate it last night (Sunday). She did not touch the fish I put in, but I was hoping as they are easier to get at stores.
Next goal is to photograph/videograph her eating!!
