Wound on my Python's upper lip

Omi-san Jan 06, 2006 10:11 AM

It's on the left on the pictures, right above the mouth and below the heat pits.

Someone suggested it could be a beginning of mouth rot, so since then I apply polysporin on the wound 2 times a day. The inside of the mouth is clean and pink.

The first picture was taken 2 weeks ago, and the second one today. I'm not a vet or reptile specialist, but the wound doesn't seem to have changed at all in 2 weeks. It doesn't seem to heal or get worse.

What do you guys think?

I have an appointment with a vet next tuesday.

Seems like your on the right track. Nothing to worry about in the mean time, but keep the vet appointment, it'll be a good experience
