Hi,

I have bought my first ball Python about six weeks ago. The shopkeeper garanteed that it was feeding on f/t in the shop. Usual problem does not want to eat. Stayed up at night a few ours in near dark and found that he is freaked out and goes back in his hide-out whenever one of our two cats walks past his tank.
Can cats be a problem ? (the cats are obviously active for most of the night)

Thanks,

Joost

I have had it go the opposite...I had a seven year old male that went off food for three months. We followed all of the standard recommendations - and nothing. UNTIL my cat had kittens. He was VERY interested when they were out and about, and the mom too (could be because she is white??). After that, he pounded his food everytime.
