Thorns cage so far

TonyZ Jan 07, 2006 01:44 AM

hopefully i willbe able to get a little farther this weekend but this is what i got so far i started out with a plan to make it 6 ft by 2 ft by 3 ft but my wife said this was to big and would just look like a huge cage in the living room so i changed my plan and the center only will be the cage 4 ft by 2 ft by 2 1/2 ft tall with a cabinet on both sides they will be a little skinny but i think i can oversize the cabinet doors and make the cage window 3 1/2 wide. the lights are mounted and all the wireing will be hidden in one of the cabinets let me know what you think

sounds like you are having fun. you are going to feel a void in your spare time as soon as you complete this project.

i bet that cage is going to be pretty freaking awesome. you'll have those dimmer switchs...you can control the temperature with a simple twist of the finger.

a free range dragon is a happy dragon

ya thats the idea i wanted more control than just on off some times with the weatherchanges you need a little more or a little less, even a well iinsulated room gets pretty cold in a michigan winter.
well off to the garage to go see what i can get done

what kind of photos will you be selling

nathan23 Jan 08, 2006 11:24 AM

Yeah I set up a table with a fellow dragon breeder. I dont have any dragons for sale at the moment so I sell my photos. Mated and framed. I didnt think I would sell too many at the last show but I sold out. They are photos of various reptiles. All photos Ive taken myself.

peace,
nate

cheryl if youre looking for something specific let me know. send me an email.

thats cool. is it just your pets or do you have some wild shots to. i think thats a good idea cause not everyone can have all the critters they want but with a photo they kinda can

nathan23 Jan 09, 2006 11:25 AM

Thats exactly my idea. And sometimes they cannot afford another animal.

The photos are of animals I have had over the past 6 years or so, plus animals from other peoples collections that I know. As well as various zoo's and a few wild shots.

I have thousands of photos on my computer but I only bring about 15 to the show.

nate

its mostly MDF i think, some of it has a laminent like the white on the light baord, if you look close you can see blue on the other side but the outside has real wood not laminent, anyway i dont know if you can buy this stuff anywhere my freind gets it from his work where they make all kinds of comercial and custom furnature
