Faces of Death: Photo Collection

WillHayward Jan 07, 2006 03:33 PM

I decided to take a short break from all this frustrating web coding I have been doing. It was early morning, I had been up all night, and the cage-lights just came on. I sat back and watched the chameleons stalk their prey (the silkworms I had just put in). I then grabbed my camera and snapped two shots of the silkworms as with their hunters in the background.

The last shot is a great example of how neat chameleons bodies are. You can see that he is eating one, and that the previous one is still entering the stomach.

I shoot with a Nikon D50 and a Canon EOS Rebel G. I shoot a lot of bands playing live, promotional photos and artistic photos, which is what is showing through in the first two photos. A little more artistic, with shadows and composition.

Thank you. Message me for more photos.

of course referring to your final shot, which is very cool. I also like the mysterious and "dark" emotion of the first two.

The Nikon D50 has been a consideration for my first DSLR. I am happy with my Nikon Coolpix 7600, but would like to get a SLR before my wild silks begin to eclose, mate and fly in May. I am partial to Nikon (as are professional photographer friends of mine, along with Canon) and have read good things about the D50. Do you like it? Anything in particular that made up your mind about buying it? The Canon is SLR, too isn't it?

thanks,
lele

Yes, I also use a Canon SLR for shooting film.

The D50 was on sale. And i knew it was a solid camera, as I had previous experience using the D70. Plus, I knew I would never have enough money for the Canon 20D that I wanted...

Below shot from my Canon EOS Rebel G - Film SLR. Goes for about $40 on ebay. The colours are bad because I was using dollar film, but they would be awesome colours if I had spent a bit more.
