True white banded Pueblan

bigeasyreptiles Jan 07, 2006 03:53 PM

Asides from the Black tipping, the white bands on this pueblan are pure white. Years ago these were the high-end pueblans, and fairly common. But, you can't seem to find these anymore. I found this guy on the classifieds last year and bought him right away. I asked the seller of it's orgin, but he did not know. You can find babies that appear to have pure white bands, but as the mature the white becomes cream or offwhite. This guy is an Adult . I crossed him to a typical female pueblan with small dirty cream white bands. They produced some spectaculsr babies for me last year. But, I would like to find another female like him, to have a pure (pure white line) of pueblans. Anyone know of someone else working with pueblans like these.
Thanks
Gordon

WOW!, those are super nice puebs. I dont think I've seen an adult with white bands so clean. I've seen super clean orange banded adult puebs though. Nice pics and nice snakes,

Those oreos are fantastic looking. I've seen a few other oreos like the offspring around, so just keep an eye out. Saw one by a local breeder at a show out here once. Not quite as clean though. Shannon Brown has a picture of a very clean oreo on his website, I don't know if he produces them but he may be able to point you in the right direction.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper stored up acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched tv. And then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus stole all his acorns, and he got a race car. Is any of this sinking in?

That's crazy. The bands could be described as "Oreo" Pueblans easily... And those are spectacular looking.

nice..i really like the pictured offspring.did you sell all those babies?or are you holding them back for yourself?

I held one back, and sold the rest. I plan on breeding this offspring back to our white band male when she's old enough. I'm also still trying to find a similar mate for this male.
