Obese Snake Care...

bpconnection Jan 07, 2006 07:28 PM

Well, we all know that bp's can be picky eaters...I've been blessed with one adult in particular that would eat a brick if I jiggled it in front of her. So, if another snake doesn't feed, I toss her the refused rat (she'd nail it from the tongs, even if it was already stiff!). Needless to say, she's now overweight. So, in addition to changing my feeding patterns w/ her, what is the best thing to do...?

1 - stop feeding until she's at a healthy size
2 - Reduce frequency w/ normal sized meals
3 - Reduce size w/ normal frequency of meals
4 - Reduce size and frequency of meals

Thanks,
Jeremy

ps...my first female just had her pre-lay shed!
