A Few Concerns

P_Reticulatus Jan 07, 2006 08:12 PM

My new Thai Yellowhead is doing well, but I have a few concerns, I believe she is going through a shed because her eyes are a bit cloudy and some of her belly scales are kinda rough. My last concern is sometimes while I handle her, I hear this quiet popping sound. It is barely noticable but I know it can be a sign of a RI.
She is not showing any other symptoms. I was wondering if this could just have something to do with the shedding process.
Thanks

Im pretty sure your retic is going through a shed, although you may have already figure this out because its been a few days since your post. Another thing to look for is a pinkish tint to her underbelly. My retic is actually in shed right now and had the same signs as yours. It started shedding today and i cant wait until its done. I cant, however, tell you anything about the popping in its mouth.

Thanks, Yeah it was a shed. She did not shed perfectly, so I will raise the humidity. But it did answer my question.
