Transportation

Hi All! I have a question about transporting a collard. My family and I live in a different town for 2 months out of the year. I wish it were some glamorous spot, but it's just Cheyenne, Wyoming. Snappy will now join the menagerie that will be making the 7 hour trip down. I planned to just load her tank up in the back of the SUV and pack around it and head out. But now I'm worried about heat. Any advice for keeping her warm? She's well fed (Getting to be a little porker. When we get settled again, I'll snap some pics.) and I saw her laying completely in her water disk today. Seriously submerged up to her little ear holes, just thought it odd for a desert lizard. And I watched her drink, so she's well fed and hydrated. Any experience or info with transportation would be much appreciated.

Deb

You can put her in a box with a heat pack, the kind they sell at any outdoors shop or even wallmart has them. They are all rated for different amount of time they are effective, choose one that will last as long as your trip is? Or buy 2 and change them along the way.
