Do you know of where that pic of the San Bernardino Ringneck was taken? From the pic it looks more like an intergrade between modestus/pulchellus from what I've seen, than a pure modestus. You obviously have a lot of experience with finding ringneck snakes, but from what I have seen the San Bernardino Ringnecks typically have yellow bellies and a red/orange tail not red/orange bellies.
