2 females together

npmarchand Jul 24, 2003 07:48 PM

I have 1 3 year old and 1 1 year old and I tried to put them together and notice that the larger on bit the smaller ones tail while they were in the hide box. The aquarium is a 65 gallon so there is lots of room. Is this normal? Will they get over it?

If the fighting gets serious you should separate the two. An aquarium of that size is plenty of room for them, if not to much. Monitor their behavoir towards each other and if fighting persists, separate them. n/p

Is there only 1 hide box in the tank? If so, I would add several more. That way they both can have their own "room".
