Re: How do I tame my Collared

Dan1 Jan 08, 2006 06:36 AM

Any advice on helping to handle my collared. Anytime I try to handle him he goes mad and bites me? Any tips?

Thanks

I like a lively collared--that means he's probably healthy

When I handle mine, I never grasp them. I just put my hand down in front of them and they usually climb on. If not, then I ease a finger or two between their front legs and under their bellies and I lift them that way. Even the flightiest collared lizard is usually calm with such a non-threatening way of lifting him.
