Have you called any of your local veterinarian offices for referrals to a vet that handles reptiles?

Well, yes, just about any veterinarian's office should be able to hook you up with a good reptile vet.

I've used it, but honestly I didn't see much of a difference in his eating habits when I started using the stuff. I used it for two months without any change and then one day he just started eating normal again. right now he's pulling the same thing he did last year at this time with not eating much and so I started using the drops again but he's still not eating all that much. Thats my personal experience with it. I've heard it work with many other people it jsut didn't work in my situation, so if you've got tehm money for it, it's worth a shot; otherwise worry more about going to a vet who has a special interest with herps. special interest means they don't have an official certification in working with that type of animal but they've studied it enough to know basics. good luck.

It is normal for adult Leos (over 1 yr old) to go through a brumation period (Leo version of hibernation) during this time of the year. My adult male has been in brumation for 3 months now. Right now he hasn't eaten a thing in about 6 weeks. One difference between a brumating Leo and a sick one is that during brumation they will lose very little weight & appear healthy other than not eating & sleeping more. And true, the Acidophiliz will not be of much help during this time. My male hasn't eaten much at all since the 1st of November but has only lost 3 grams of weight. He's just a big lazy tub of lard that lays around & sleeps LOL I have an adult female that is also brumating, but not nearly to the extent as my male. She still eats about every 3-4 days and has actually gained 10 grams of weight during this time. But she normally eats every day.
