I work with a lot of them so I can help you with the husbandry aspects of them. I have never seen any for sale though, so can't help you with finding any breeders.

What specific questions do you have?

Most of us will never get the oppurtunity to do so. What's it like to handle them?

What mainstream animal would you consider them similar to in habits, personality and so on?

Delicate?
Easy or hard to breed?

Thanks,
Bob.

They are kept pretty cool for reptiles. The room they are in only gets to 70 degrees. The also need UV light and a basking lamp. Their color can fade without good lighting.

They are normally pretty shy lizards, I have been able to get a few of them to take crickets or waxworms off tongs. The spend a lot of time hiding in the bromeliads in thier tanks. I have noticed they do bask, but they typically come out about 1-2pm. The lights come on at 8am.

Albronia seem to have a typical alligator lizard behaivor (aside from the climbing on branches and bromeliads) They are inquisitive until you get too close or touch them and they open thier mouths and will bite.

We haven't got them to breed in a while (the collection is 7.2, only pairs are with the 2 females), but I'm hoping one is gravid now. I've been told that they can look gravid, but nothing happens.

Especially as I said. most of us will never work with them ourselves. Thank you very much and good luck with them.
Bob.
