now that my bp is increasing in size, how would i breed rats? do they need to be housed seperate?? and would a 1.1 be enough for 1 but evenutally 2 bps? i am planning on getting another

You ought to look down the forum and do a web search on rat care to get the basics.
No, you don't need to separate them, but if you don't they will breed back to back which may wear out your girl faster. If you are raiseing to larger sizes you will need growing cages too.
One pair will make about 10-20babies every month if you let them. But breeding a female that is still nursing the last litter will wear her out and slow the growth of the babies. You might consider 1.2 and alternate breedings. I have one male and rotate him through my dozen or so girls (2 and 3 in each cage) That way I have a more continuous availability of live and different sized rattlings.
