Painted turtle OK with yellow bellies?

If they're approx. the same size (painted may be slightly larger), can you mix the two species?

Eventually the yellow bellied will be larger & you'll probably have to separate them at that time...if fighting begins.
I personally don't like to mix species at all but a lot of people have success with those that are similar & painted are similar to sliders.

If you have a really big turtle enclosure you will have the best success. like a pond or stock tank or something. Enough room that the turtles can get away from each other.
