Have we reached a consensus on female tail wagging?

LadyOhh Jan 09, 2006 12:11 AM

What does it really mean???
Last thread seemed to have several opinions on it being good/bad.

Is there a real truth?

Mine does it occasionally when she is happily killing a F/T rat lol. Reminds me of a cat that gets excited trying to catch a mouse in a hole.

I've had a couple of females wag their tails (one was banging tail on side of tub heh!) just in the last couple of weeks when a male was introduced... in both cases, I found confirmed/observed copulation... just my experience so far and nothing more though

They're females............go figure Sorry Lady, couldn't resist. I agree with Corey. Since they seem to do it at different times, and in different situations, it's probably excitement.

Dogs wag their tail for many different reasons, including excitement, contentment, and nervousness - whos to say the same isn't true for snakes?

It seems like it is a positive thing, but in breeding season, people seem to see it as a bad omen?

Thoughts?

Unfortunately - the only time I have seen my females waggin thier tails is when they are unloading something from the back end (poop or eggs) LOL - so I don't really know. I have seen my males wag their tails when introduced to a female or right before they combat with another male. Since males go both ways (happy and pissed off) I's assume females would do the same - but you know what they say about assuming. LOL.

I had a female poss het ghost wag her tail all over the place yesterday.....the ghost male just lokked at her like a dummy.........he has bred so he knows what to do.......she wag and moved around and he left her alone to shake her groove thing.....

I thought it meant "hey baby come here".....but since he didn't talk smack to her she may have been telling him to "go away little boy".......

anyways...I took him out and threw him in with a big fat lady....

that'll teach him ...........LOL

so I still don't know what it means....

alot of my stuff would wag and run saying go away.......

balls usually don't wag here......

sorry
