First time using...even seeing an adult mouse?

hotridexx Jul 24, 2003 08:50 PM

Well not entirely, but, today was my first time feeding my new ball (female @ one years old & about 36 inches in lenght). I just used a frozen/thawed large adult mouse, and I am wondering if the body of the mouse is suppose to be very jelly like in the stomach after it is thawed? I mean, it was like a small water balloon: real loose and jiggly. Is that normal for a mouse. Remember this is my first time.

Thanks everyone. Just a simple question.

Geoffrey.

Sometimes they can get a little soft in the middle, especially the big ones. How did you thaw it? Sometimes if they get too hot they can be very mushy and messy as well. EP

I let the mouse sit out at room temperature for about an hour, and then I put it under the heat lamp for about 15 min. Then it was completely thawed.

After 10-15mins
This gives them a 'feel' of a warm live one...

Thanks, but I want to know if it is supposed to be jelly like in the stomach area, really water-balloon like?

Thanks,
Geoffrey.
