This is the cage I built for Lexi. It's 5'L x 2 1/2'T x 2'D.
Made it out of Birch. Any thoughts?

Where did you get the rocks? Hubby made a cage and we want rocks in ours also. Thanks!

All the rocks are made out of polystyrene coated with tile grout, and a sealant. Just cut out a basic shape and use a file to round the edges and give it more of a rock shape. Glue them together w/ liquid nails (just make sure it's the liquid nails for plastic/foam). once you get that finished, get some tile grout, make it thin for the first coat to get in all the cracks. I put on 3-4 coats, then use a tile grout sealant. That's it, fairly easy, just messy.

Awesome set up. What I'm going to do is buy a 75gallon tall and make my setup just like yours, with the polysterene foam plastic then coat it with concrete and use concrete dyes to make a brown rock, gray rocks, red rocks. Use some washed childreds play sand, add some caudexed figs and spineless tree opuntia and its really going to look like a desert. I'll also use some riverbed rocks and a background to make it come alive. But your setup is really cool.
I think they need more vertical climbing areas. Just a thought.
Very nice cage.
