Silly, stupid Lizard - A rant

purduecg Jan 09, 2006 10:21 AM

Soooo, Mosca has done it yet again. So far this little urchin has caused me more worry in 14 months that dear Archimedes did in his entire life! lol. Mosca has crawled into the inside of one of his decorative logs, and stayed there. Now, normally, I am a big fan of let them be, keep feeding them, check your temps, make sure there are no obvious problems, and let them be... however in this case I am only 85% sure that he can get out, and it has been two weeks. Calling the vet this afternoon.

Such a pita, if I didn't love the little bugger so much all of this might be rather annoying! lol

Whate age do these guys usually start mellowing out at?...

Elizabeth

(For those of you who haven't been on the forum long, yes - I love my lizards, yes - they get the best possible care I can give them, no - I don't want to give Mosca away... Just felt the need to vent )

wouldn't think its a problem, I had an eqyptian for 6 years, and every year he went under a rock in Dec. and didn't come back out til spring. The funny thing is no changes were made to his environment, just did it himself. Their clock tells them to do that.

Fyi-He lived with 2 female chuckwallas his whole life, he tried to mate with them every spring. Egyptians are funny critters.
