I was going to place an order from him for a turt...but I've hear many many bad things about him. Here's the thread where I asked about him on Turtle Times: http://www.turtletimes.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9388&SearchTerms=prem,advani
I hope you get what you actually ordered...good luck!
I have first hand experience and it was not good. He has a bad reputation from Turtletimes and to be truthful, I've not heard one good thing said about him. And I've heard from many folks who have dealt with him.
He breaks laws in NY state by selling reptiles that are not legal according to state law. He posts for jobbers to take Eastern box and Florida box from the wild so that he can pay $10 apiece for them to resell them for $99.
He's a young guy that has walked the wrong path in my opinion. Perhaps he'll redeem himself, but I for one will not deal with him.
Sorry for the flame folks but the question was asked.

Great!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think I should do. I have talked to him on the phone about my ordered, and he said something about waiting for turtle eggs to hatch. Have you heard about any not recieving an order or recieveing a order? Basically all I want to know is, do you think I will get my order, will we take my money, or just never send me anything??
thanks
Hmmm, I've never heard of him not sending the animal. I have just heard much mis-representation and bad business principles.
If you paid for turtles that haven't hatched yet, that is a red flag. You have no idea if the turtles will hatch or hatch in good health. Also, one should never ship a freshly born hatchling. You always keep them for a month or two to get them feeding and make sure they are stable. Shipping a freshly hatched turtle sounds disasterous.
I've always known of Prem to be out for the money so selling the turtles before they hatch, well, thats a new twist.
It's your call. Don't know what kind of turtle you are aiming for but if you can get it elsewhere, I would.
Paul
PS. He may come through but I just don't trust him.
Hey guys were is this guy in ny maybe i can go and see this guy for you
Clay
I dont know exactly where, but it says Bronx Ny. Check out his site. www.exoticreptile.com and maybe an address is there.
See another untruth, Yonkers and the Bronx are no where near each other in NY terms. He's dishonest. His *business* is in Yonkers. Be aware... He's 20 years old not that thats a bad thing but he leads people to believe he's been doing this for a long time and it's just not true.
Also, his access to Turtletimes has been revoked at least 3 times in the last year and half because he pissed so many people off.

Unless there are specific allegations, then all this is just rumor. I asked about this person on the BOI, and got not response. As for the point of selling WC animals, well golly gee, I think that includes the entire pet trade. Even if you bought a CB animal, its parents or grandparents etc were WC.If they had not been captured and placed in captivity your animal would be a wild animal as it too would have been born in the wild. Not everything can be cb as some animals do not breed in captivity. All the hoopla over wc is just plain crap in my opinion. You can't say leave it in the wild where it belongs, and then pave over the swamp for a shopping center, road or house.
No WC vs CB argument being made here so perhaps you misunderstood me.
I think paving over swamps is one thing but hiring people to poach turtles in mass for volume prices is terrible, especially in areas that they are protected.
Thats all I'm sayin.
Paul
Even where it is illegal, you can get a special permit for collection. They are issued by the state.
Nevermind.
