Any thoughts on what this might be?? Posted on python forum too, but...

figured you ball people might be able to give me some imput. This girl loses more brown pigment with every shed, but is keeping all the black?? Has any one seen this before?? She is about 1 yr. old, and it just started happening about 3 months ago. Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks,
Jasin

love your sarcastis response though, lol. Take a better look at the pics. The BIG yellow spot forming by the neck, in the brown, not the black, and it is happening all over the body.
Thanks,
Jasin

I have circled the area. It is slowly happening all over the snake.

Sometimes balls change colors due to age or horomonal issues, could be a type of minor scarring - sometimes simple things like a difficult shed or rubbing up against something in the cage can cause these. Could also be the start of an IMG color change their brown starts to lighten as well as the increase in black. Really hard to tell - as long as it doesn't appear to be sensitive and the scales look clean and bacteria/fungus free I wouldn't worry about it too much. Keep an eye on her and see what happens.
