Vield egg question

tingtongo Jan 09, 2006 02:54 PM

I have vields that laid eggs, they are about 5 mos old now (the eggs). I had a
few collapse and get some fuzz on it, I opened it up and there is nothing but
thick white inside. No sign of chameleon, just looked like blubber, white blubber. Are they even growing in there? All
the rest are still nice and white with no shrinkage.

forgive me if this was a re-post, I didn't see my post when I put it up last time and thought I did something wrong.

If the eggs were infertile, I'm sure they would have collapsed and gone fuzzy "ages" ago. How are you incubating them? Temperature, etc.?

Sorry...not much help.

my thoughts exactly
they are in a closed tupperware with a drill hole in it at the temp of about 26C
they have been like this since I put them in.

This may be a dumb question, but did your female mate? Female chameleons will develop eggs, although infertile, without mating with a male. If you open those eggs, it is just white 'blubber' as you describe it, inside the egg.
