Any advice would help.

Hello to all. I am very new to the world of reptiles. I have a 9 month old blue tegu, she is a doll and very sweet however she is blind in one eye and misses her crickets. I have tried to feed her by hand without much luck. I do not know what other foods they eat. I have given her crickets, poached eggs, and pinkie mice. She is only a little over a foot long and not very heavy. I don't know if this is normal. I also have not had much luck in finding humidity requirments and things like that out there on the net. Any advice would be very helpful thank you all.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about her condition!!!
Try the San Diego Zoo diet with her. At he rage she should be eating lean meat. Try going to the tegu's "old forum" here and do a search on that forum for the SDZ diet (San Diego Zoo).
Humidty levels need to be fairly high around 80% and substrate as topsoil or cypress mulch will help.

If you cannot locate info on the SDZ diet, please email me and I'll copy and paste it in a return email!
