Albino Brooksi vs Albino Ca king which as a whole calmer?

TwoSnakes Jan 09, 2006 07:16 PM

Hi
I like the look of Albino brooksi and Albino Ca king. From my reading the Brooksi stay smaller and the Ca king more active .
Would like to ask which of the 2 types as a general rule easier going easier to handle ?

Thanks

floridana"brooksi" are alot more calmer. California kings tend to be much more jittery and will musk much more than "brooksi". I have quite a few of both in my collection so i should know. Some of the so called kingsnake experts say that there is no difference in the different subs of common kingsnake attitudes, they are wrong. Here's musk in your eye, lol!

I've never had the albino brooksi, but my albino cal king was a pain as a baby. Would always musk me and try to bite. He grew out of it, so it was no big deal. I think all kings are kinda nervious babies. My black king is also. Always musking, rattling his tail.

You have your wild child Cal. kings, and you have very calm cal. kings. Individuals can vary, but on average, I believe Brooks/Florida kings to be much calmer. And Brooks do not stay smaller. They are the largest of the kingsnakes, right along side with Easterns.

Thanks everyone for the info after reading it decided to go with the Brooksi. I was suprised that they werent smaller than CA kings . Thought they were .
Either way like both the Albino Ca and Brooksi king but since Brooksi as a whole bit calmer opted for it.
Thats the "problem" with kings to many types to many color morphs lol. Hard to pick .

Much larger than cals, particularly in bulk. I've seen some that looked like boa constrictors.
