Who says that WC females are crappy feeders!?!?!?!?!?

RaulGomez Jan 10, 2006 02:53 PM

I got a trio of WC adult females over the weekend from Ian G at the White Plains show..... I said I would never get anymore WC females cause they are a pain. Two are gravid and the other was just a really nice but skinny snake that I just couldnt pass up.

I got home and set them all up... I went to check on them a couple of hours later and the skinny girl had her nose at the entrance of her hide box.... I said what the hell and dropped a small rat in the bin... she took it within a second... I was soooo shocked... she ended up taking 3 small rats. She would have ate a couple more but I didnt want to over do it.

Now if I could just get some of my CB females to eat that way I would be set lol....

P.S. This is rare thing. WC females are royal pains in the a$$. Please dont think I am advising anyone to go out and get WC females. This is the only WC female I have ever had that did this. Buy CB!!!

We bought a couple of yearling females last year. One was supposed to be feeding on anything live and the other had not fed in the six months that the broker had her. We set them up in a Boaphile blanket rack and left them alone. After two weeks, we dropped a live mouse in each tub and in less than 10 minutes they had both eaten. Currently they will take rats or mice and both are very good feeders.
