"Yellow Phase" Bothrops colombiensis.

.from Venezuela, by far the most evil lancehead I own. This snake can strike from positions and literally launch itself at anything that gives off heat.

Very nice indeed Matt.
I vote for an adult B. moojeni as the most evilest, vile, disaster waiting to happen,time-bomb,explosive snake I have ever had the pleasure to work. LOL!

I haven't yet had the pleasure! LOL!

..I saw one of your other posts on teh Crot. forum, and I agree with you, Lachesis are quite predictable and more deliberate in their movements, but in terms of Bothrops, asper is one of the easier to deal with. The mattograssoensis and pubescens are pretty calm, as are my urutus, but the colombiensis are very skiddish, and aspers are a little flight, but not unmanageable.

yeah, I agree, Lachesis are pretty predictable, (most of the time).
But I'm not kidding about the moojeni! They can be sweethearts one second, and go ballsistic the next.

I don't have any more Bushmasters now, haven't had them in a few years, but I have been starting to miss them, and I have a lead on getting a couple of pairs of stenophrys that are sub-adults, so I may acquire them!

Right now, I am really working with a lot of Bothrops so, with that being said: I HAVE MY HANDS FULL. LOL!

p.s. I also hope to have baby Ovophis, and Protobothrops this spring!

Cool! Keep me posted on the Ovophis.
