CB carpet pics

Kevins Jan 10, 2006 08:18 PM

Here are a couple pics.

I received a WC gravid carpet in Feb. 2004 (Chi Chi). Her resulting offspring hatched that fall (Nov./Dec.) In this first picture is one of those female carpets that hatched out breeding with a CH'd male I got about 2 years ago from ChamCo.

This second pic is of one of their first babies that hatched around Christmas (Chi Chi's grandchild)

Awwww, what beautiful little offspring! By the way, I had to take a double-take when I first looked at your female, I thought it was a male panther fired up! LOOK AT THOSE COLORS!!! Those are by far the most incredible colors Ive' seen on a carpet, and you have 2 absolutly gorgeous specimens! Keep the pics coming!

Thanks Michelle,
There is a lot of variation not only between different carpets, but also with what one individual can display. I have others lats in addition to these few, so I'll have to post some more pics soon.

Great pics! Congrats on the babies! I was very fortunate to see a gravid female in the wild. Incredible colors. I've always thought the name "carpet" (even though it refers to Persian carpets) was just too dull for these little walking jewels. Too bad we don't have a way to keep the females in their gravid coats longer.

Just Amazing is right! Carpets are incredible!

I know someone who is selling, or has just sold theirs to make room. So awesome these things are.

CANADIAN CHAMELEONS

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I have to say that I just could never get over my fascination with carpets so once I had bred some other species I had my mind set on establishing CB's for myself.

Carlton...going to Madagascar to see different species in the wild would be a dream for any chameleon enthusiast I would think. That must have been a very memorable experience.
