I'm not too sure about 314 foot snake.........(Yeah, I realize that was a typo!) but my MUCH shorter corns and ball pythons usually go ahead and shed approx a week after thier eyes turn blue. Although I do have two corns that routinely go at least 2 weeks after turning blue before shedding. Don't forget, they will go back to normal coloring for several days after turning blue before they actually shed the skin.

Usually, once the snake has begun the actual shed (Skin falling off) if the snake does not finish it within 24 hours or so I assume the snake was too dry and I soak it in a tub of luke warm (NOT HOT) water for an hour. Then rub the snake with a ruff wash cloth and the rest of the skin comes off nice and clean.
