Well my female veiled finally laid her eggs last night after 4 days of stress...Not sure how many eggs as of yet, It was late when I got home last night so I opted to wait until today to unearth them.

yay! I'm so happy for you (and your poor little female). It's so hard on them but sometimes I think it's harder on us to watch them struggle. Diane

42 eggs total. I'm so excited! All 42 look normal and healthy. I've now got 98 veiled eggs incubating....

The eggs look great...and all the ones I can see in the picture look fertile. That was quite a big clutch though. I would watch her food intake and hope that the next one is smaller...just my own opinion. I feed my veiled females well for about a week after they have laid their eggs to get them back into healthy condition and then cut back for a few weeks (not starvation, just moderation) on the food. I feel that, from my own experience, this helps decrease the clutch size and prolongs the life of the chameleon.

How old is this female?

Now comes the even more patient part...waiting for the eggs to hatch! Good luck!

the female was about 10-11 months old. In my first clutch by my other female, she laid 56 eggs, and some of them I could tell right away would not turn out. And so far all 5 of those have gone bad in the incubator. I've still got about 4 months on the first clutch.

I hope that you will soon be enjoying the hatching of the other batch!
