Hey everyone I just bought my first Blood last weekend at the whiteplains show. I just had a quick question. Since i put her in ther new cage, shes been burried in the substrate, i want 2 start handling her but is it okay to dig her out to hold her or should i wait till she comes out on her own.I'm gonna try and post some pics when i get my digital camera to work, thanks Chris

Welcome to the addiction. Its your call when you handle her, but if she's that new, I give her some time to adjust to the new environment. Bloods need to hide, often in such a manner as they can observe while concealed. Give her some hide choices other than substrate, make sure she eats for you and then you can start to handle her. Their habits will require that you "dig from their hides", but if youre gentle and move slowly, most bloods don't object...well maybe a little hiss of displeasure. Enjoy!

Hey thanks for the info. She does have 2 other hides other than the substrate but as you said she seems to like that the best, and she does have her head out so she can see whats goin on around her, thanks again
