Want to know what I can house with an Ornate Box turtle? Any suggestions?
A lot of people advoce against keeping mixed species together, and i agree. Boxies are omnivores, and that means that there will be nothing stopping him/her from nibbling from the frog/salamander(if you do decide on keeping it with a frog, this is the amphibians forum after all ^^). Even if its a arboreal tree frog, once in a while its gonna have to come down. The same goes for geckos, other lizards, & snakes.
Other animals would have different needs, temperature, and theres also a chance that the animal/the boxie would spread disease to its cagemates.
So, the only sugestion i could give you, is, NEVER EVER mix species together. Most of the time you would have to seperate them both, or regret that you ever thought about mixing them at all

My "babies" :
1.0.0 Indo BTS (Tiliqua gigas gigas)
0.0.1 Rainbow skinks (Mabuya multifasciata)
1.0.2 RES (Trachemys scripta elegans)
0.0.3 Amboina box turtles (Cuora amboinensis)
1.0.0 Chinese softshell (Trionyx sinensis)
1.0.0 Asian leaf turtle (Cyclemys dentata)
1.0.0 Leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius)
And still growing...
I would not say that you should NEVER mix species, but a box turtle is not an animal that many other animals would be happy having to live with, even if it is another box turtle. Leave the turtle by itself.
